Tayari, 58, is married and resides with his wife in Coast Province, Kenya. Tayari sells kitchen utensils and household goods and his wife is a businesswoman.
Tayari is requesting a loan of 100,000 Kenyan shillings (KES) to purchase more household food consumption and kitchen utensils to resell. By doing so, his family will be able to generate more income.
In the future, he would like to use any additional income to invest in real agents housing. This will be his sixth loan from Yehu Microfinance, a longstanding Kiva partner.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
