Seleman is married and the father of 6 children who still attend school. He lives in his own house with his family and doesn’t support anyone other than his family. His house has neither electricity nor piped water.
He’s engaged in a fish selling business and with this loan he plans to buy 50 kilograms of fish for resale and cooking oil. He faces the challenge of the lack of a refrigerator, since he narrates that his fish at times go bad, hence incurring some losses.
In the future he hopes to open a shop and further his children’s education.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
