Hussein is a 48-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and four children, who are attending school. He has been working as a salesman in a local company since 2000. He is the main source of income for his family. His wife owns an international phone call shop in her town, but her revenue is not sufficient to support the family well financially.
Today, Hussein is requesting a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to pay his children's educational fees. His only target is to ensure a good educational level for his children through graduation and to avoid facing financial problems in the family’s management. In the future, he is planning to work in one more job in order to earn additional income and meet the family's needs.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
