Irine is 33 years old, she is married and lives in a small village of Terjola District with her family: her husband, George, two children (six and 11 years old) and her parents-in-law, who are pensioners. Her children study in the village school. George works in construction and earns a service fee for his work. Irine is busy with her agricultural business. She has two milking cows and produces cheese. Some of the cheese is used by the family and the rest is sold locally. Irine and George work hard, but their income is hardly enough for food and everyday expenses for the six members of the family. Irine requested a loan to start-up new business. She plans to purchase household goods and clothing in Tbilisi (the capital of Georgia) and sell them in her village and in nearby villages. As a result, the monthly income of the family would increase and they would be able to expand their businesses and improve their living conditions.
