Sokha is 58 years old. She is married and resides with three children in Takeo Province, Cambodia.
She has been selling palm cakes for more than ten years, earning approximately $3 daily. Her husband is a construction worker who earns about $5 per day. Two of her children are employed. They earn about $10 each day.
Sokha is requesting a loan of $1,000 to purchase cattle to raise and resell when they gain weight. In addition, a part of this money will be used for buying timbers to rebuild her house. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her youngest child earn a bachelor’s degree.
