Married to a customs officer, Mrs. Afi is a 36-year-old mother of three children, two of whom attend school. She is a seamstress and has also been selling pagnes (colorful African cloth) and ladies' purses since 1998. She does this by herself and is on her third WAGES loan. This amount that she is asking for will help her stock up on pagnes and purses in Lomé. With the profit, she hopes to rearrange her workshop. In the future, Mrs. Afi would like to add the sale of bazins (traditional articles of clothing) and to ensure her children's education.
