She is a street trader. She began her business with a loan from the microfinance institution Hekima. She is now requesting her 11th loan cycle. She needs this new loan in order to buy 20 pieces of traditional wrap-around cloth (known as "pagnes") for bargaining. The profits from her business enable her to pay her rent, school fees and to live comfortably in the city of Goma. In the future, she would like to buy a plot of land. HEKIMA is a microfinance institution headquartered in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), with branch offices in Goma and Bukavu.
