Nino is 39 years old. She is a widow and lives in a small village in Lanchkhuti District with her two sons (20 and 22 years old) and daughter-in-law. The family is busy with agricultural business. They have a milking cow. They produce cheese, part of which is used by the family and the rest is sold locally. They also own a plot of land, where cucumbers and maize are grown. They sell harvested products on the local open market. The family has a little poultry farm as well. The total average monthly income of the family is 1000 Lari.
Nino requested a loan to expand her poultry farm. She plans to purchase more chickens and raise them. They will be sold with price mark-up after several months. This will increase the income of the family. With increased income they will be able to expand their agricultural business in order to make it more profitable. Living conditions of the family will be improved.
