Imad is a 38 year old Lebanese man. He’s married to Jihane, a sweet woman who he wishes to live the rest of his live with. They have two small children who are still attending school. Imad looks for funds for covering his family expenses, especially his children's study fees. Because of that, he’s working really hard, with the cooperation of his wife, to be able to reach his goals. He started his own business as a private teacher in 1999 with the help of his wife. They receive their students at home to deliver their lessons in a good way. In order to bring added income to the family, Imad works at a local company as well. Today, he’s requesting to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to prepare a special room for teaching. Imad is sure that this will allow him to develop his way of teaching, and thus his communication with the students. Joining a school is one of his greatest dreams, where he could improve his skills and therefore his way of living.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
