Tsuma is 50 years old and lives in the town of Kaloleni, in the coastal region of Kenya. He is married and has seven children, the oldest being 23 years and the youngest six months. For the past four years, Tsuma has been working hard to manage his guest house business, which he owns.
To help expand his business, Tsuma has requested a loan of 50,000 Kenyan Shillings from from Yehu. The loan will be used to buy more bedding and furniture. This will help Tsuma to generate greater profits and improve his standard of living. He hopes that, in the future, he will be able to establish another guest house to increase his income.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
