Maia is 34 years old; she lives in a small village of Sagarejo District with her family: husband – Mamuka and her brother-in-law. Mamuka is a construction worker and gets service fees for work. He also helps Maia and his brother in the family agricultural business. In particular, they have 3 milk cows and produce cheese. The cheese trader buys most of their cheese. Along with their small dairy farm they are busy with a plot. They own 1 hectare of land, where wheat is grown. Total average monthly income of the family is 1000 Lari.
Maia requested a loan for purchasing wheat. With more wheat she will be able to feed more cattle. This will increase the sales from her business and positively affect the income of the family. With the increased income she will be able to reinvest in the family agricultural business to expand it and make more profitable. As a result of the above mentioned activities the living conditions of the family will be improved.
