Marie Chantal
Marie Chantal is a 43 year old single woman, mother of two children who go to school. She has been a storekeeper in a market in the capitol for two years where she sells dry goods (rice and groundnuts). It is thanks to this small business that she provides for the needs of her small family. Her business works, but she just has a capital problem, which prevents her from buying large quantities to resell. She has to buy one or two bags at a time and wait until she has finished them to buy again. Thanks to this loan, she will be able to buy several bags, which will allow her to better satisfy her customers and increase her sales and therefore her profits. She will reinvest a portion of her profits that this loan will bring her in her business in buying bags of rice and groundnuts, and will save the other for her children's schooling.
