A loan of $400 helped to purchase cement and steel for her husband to use for making stairs to sell.

Samphors's story

Samphors is 32 years old. She is married and resides with three children in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in cultivating rice and fattening up cattle for more than ten years, earning approximately $2 daily. Her husband runs the business of making concrete stairs to sell. He earns about $5 each day. In order to improve her family’s finances, Samphors is requesting a loan of $400 to purchase steel and cement for her husband to use for making stairs to sell. This money will help him produce more stairs to sell and earn more income to support the family. In the future, she would like to expand her husband’s business and help her children earn bachelors degrees. Moreover, she hopes to build a new house as soon as possible.
