Elsa is a member of the Azucenas communal bank. She is 56 years old, married, and the mother of two children. She has been a member of FINCA Peru for three years and is the owner of two vehicles that she uses for her own passenger transportation business, which she administrates. She also has a store where she sells vehicle parts. She likes to belong to the group because her communal bank's meetings give her training from which she learns a lot. The communal bank also makes taking out loans and making payments easy. The loan Elsa is requesting will be invested in maintaining her vehicles and also in buying merchandise for her spare parts store such as headlights, bolts, and other spare car parts.
