Julio Orlando
Julio is 47 years old and lives in Playas. His house is made from bricks and he has both water and electricity. He started learning welding in Guayaquil at the age of 21 and now works from home, near the docks. This location is favorable to him because most of his customers are fishing boat owners. He carries out welding work on boats that have deteriorated with the passage of time and through the wear and tear they sustain on the high seas. Julio has been working in this area since 2004. He works Monday to Sunday, from 8.00am to 5.00pm, and has a lot of customers. He will use his loan to buy metals for his welding. It is a little expensive as they are bought in sheets. His future goal is to improve his home and his business so that he can provide his family with better living conditions.
