Fatuma is 34 years old and is married, with three children. One is in school while two are adults and independent. She operates a cafe where she sells foodstuffs such as dumplings, flat breads, rice, etc. Her niece helps her with the daily chores. She has been in this business for over ten years.
Since she became a client of Yehu, she has learned how to save because she has been trained in financial management. She hopes to expand this business and have it become a restaurant. Fatuma needs a loan of KES 100,000 to purchase rice, wheat and maize flour, sugar, and cooking oil.
Her clients like her because of her motherly caring nature since most of her clients are young and she treats them like her children.
