Wendo's greatest business challenges are his hired bike drivers who do not return to him the full amount they have earned. He says his highest monthly expense is food. He owns a house with water but no electricity. Wendo will use the KES 30,000 loan to purchase another motorbike. Wendo aspires to hire employees in the future. This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
