Aliyar is a 39 year old man, IDP (internally displaced person) who lives in Bilasuvar IDP Settlement with his wife and two sons. He is a farmer and has raised seasonal fruits and vegetables for the last 13 years. He chose this business because it is profitable and fresh crops are always in high demand. People use fresh vegetables every day and consider them healthy. Many national dishes are made of vegetables, like pilau and dolma. Fresh fruits are served on every table in Azerbaijan families and they also make fresh punches.
Aliyar sells his crops in the BIlasuvar central bazaar. His monthly income is 100 AZN. His wife actively helps him to raise crops.
As his products are in high demand, Aliyar wants to expand his business and produce more fruits and vegetables to cover market demand. For this purpose he has applied for a loan of 1500 AZN. He will buy new garden tools, seeds and fertilizers. This will be his second loan; he has a positive loan history.
