Kisauni in Mombasa, Kenya, is a very commercial city. Because of this, the population is growing rapidly.
It is in this beautiful city of Mombasa that we find Joyce. She has made selling charcoal and firewood her full-time occupation to help her children and her husband, Oloo, get ahead. Oloo works every day as a mason.
Joyce works arduously as a charcoal and firewood vendor about six hours a day so that afterwards she can dedicate herself to her house and her beloved family.
Joyce applied to Yehu Microfinance in search of financing to stock charcoal and firewood. In this way, she intends to satisfy her customers not only with the best service but also with the products that they request. Joyce experiences a challenge of high competition, so she dreams of being able to extend her business to establish her first market stall with the goal of working more calmly, having more merchandise, and increasing sales. In this way, Joyce dreams of becoming a true entrepreneur, with the great desire of every day improving herself and giving the best to her family.
