Mary is married and has a child who is one year old. She tells us that she has had a grocery store in her home for two years. It is well stocked. In addition, she also operates a retail shop from which she gets another source of income. Mary is a very hardworking person, eager to succeed and help her family. She knows that life is hard and working is the only way to get ahead.
Mary is applying for a loan in order to establish another business keeping poultry. She plans to purchase chicks and feed and to put up a chicken house to continue providing good products to her customers.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
