Alex is from the city of Mombasa. He is a single man and a metal welder. Alex is a very self-sacrificing person and notes that he has always worked hard and it is thanks to that work that he has been able to help his extended family.
Despite his young age Alex wants very much to continue working and helping with the day-to-day expenses of the household. He says he still has a lot worth fighting for and that is why he continues to strive.
Alex is applying for a loan to purchase tools, which will greatly facilitate his work. He wants to buy a welding machine and other masonry supplies. Alex is grateful to Yehu Microfinance and Kiva for the opportunity they are giving him.
