Srey Mom is 32 years old. She is married and resides with two children in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in selling shaved ice, cultivating rice, and fattening up animals for more than four years, earning about $4 per day. Her husband (who is joining her in the picture) is employed in a garment factory and earns about $3 per day. In order to improve her family’s finances, Srey Mom is requesting a loan of $1,200 to purchase more farmland to use for cultivating rice. This purchase will help her expand her business and earn more income to support the family. In the future, she would like to run an additional business and help her children earn bachelor’s degree. Moreover, she hopes to build a new house as soon as possible.
