Asha is 28 years old and has been a merchant for the last three years. She is hardworking and dedicated. Asha is married to Juma and has one infant child.
She says she never had the opportunity to study beyond primary level. Therefore, her greatest wish is to see all of her children become professionals so they can have a better future. Asha owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water.
Asha runs a food a well-stocked food stall. Her customers are people in her neighborhood.
The loan she is requesting will be used to buy wheat flour, cooking oil and other basic necessity so that she can restock her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
