Pablo
Pablo is a 59-year-old, happily married man who lives with his wife in the city of Ica, in Santiago district. Pablo has 5 grown-up children. Some of his children are already married and live with their respective families. Pablo has always been a very hard-working, enthusiastic person who has put all his efforts into providing for his family. Unfortunately, as he needed to work and cover his expenses, he was unable to study for a college degree. However, he would have liked to have studied for a degree in Education. In his free time, Pablo enjoys watching educational programs and news programs on the television. He also enjoys eating delicious 'lomo saltado' together with his whole family.

As a result of his own initiative, and thanks to the support of his family, Pablo has been working on his small plot of land for many years. He has a one hectare lot where he grows cotton and vines. He gets up early every morning to work on his land. In addition, he also works as a day laborer on a large farm near his home. Pablo feels happy doing the work he does because he has always really enjoyed farming.

Pablo is very grateful to Kiva lenders because, thanks to their support, he will be able to buy wood, poles and wire to replace his vine supports. This will create better conditions for his crops and they will develop satisfactorily. This will enable him to sell his crops and increase his income which he hopes to gradually use to finish building his house.
