Yeiner
Yeiner is a young man of 20 who has spent his whole life alongside his parents, helping them to sow and harvest their different crops. For this reason, he knows his work well. Yeiner now lives with his partner with whom he intends to form his own family. With this in mind, he has plans to achieve goals and get ahead in life. He lives in a community in the south of Costa Rica, in Concepción de Pilas, in Puntarenas province. The local economy is agriculture based. In particular, people sow tubers, coffee, corn and beans, and raise livestock.

Yeiner is requesting a loan for 500,000 colones to buy coffee seedlings so that he can prepare more seedbeds and then sell to other producers. This product is very much sought-after among local coffee farmers.

Yeiner is very young and he has set himself many goals. He is a hard-working, positive person who is full of hope. This will be his first loan.

Yeiner is a member of La Danta Community Credit Company, one of EDESA's 150 member organizations in Costa Rica.

Yeiner es un joven 20 años de edad , toda su vida la ha pasado al lado de sus padres ayudando en la siembra y cosecha de diferentes productos , por eso conoce bien este oficio, ahora vive con su pareja con la cual pretende formar su propia familia y para ello se ha propuesto alcanzar metas y salir adelante, él vive en una comunidad de la zona Sur de Costa Rica, ubicada en Concepción de Pilas, Puntarenas. La economía local está basada en actividades agropecuarias, donde destaca la siembra de tubérculos, café, maíz, frijoles y ganadería.
Yeiner está solicitando un préstamo de quinientos mil colones (¢500.000.00) para comprar almácigo de café (plantas de café pequeñas) para lograr hacer más almácigo y luego venderlo a otros productores, este producto es muy cotizado en el ámbito de los cafetaleros de la zona.
Yeiner es muy joven, y se ha propuesto muchas metas , es además una persona esforzada, positiva y llena de esperanzas, este será su primer préstamo. El es socio de la Empresa de Crédito Comunal en la Danta, una de las 150 organizaciones socias de EDESA en Costa Rica

As a small and relatively young MFI located in Costa Rica, EDESA has difficulty attracting other sources of capital. Many other microfinance funders do not work in Costa Rica, because overall the country is too rich. However, organizations such as EDESA work with extremely marginalized populations in Costa Rica that really need the access to capital that EDESA provides. By funding EDESA, Kiva lenders are allowing the organization to grow and reach more people than they otherwise would be able to reach.
