A loan of $5,900 helped a member to buy coats for her business.

Santa Rosita De Lima Group's story

Part of the Santa Rosita de Lima communal bank in the district of Wanchaq in the province of Cusco, Grety is 34 and is married with one son. Alongside her daily chores she runs a business buying and selling clothes. She has spent years in this business, which is doing well thanks to the effort she puts in. She travels to Lima to buy her goods and then sells them to her customers, many of whom are family and friends. Grety is aresponsible member of the communal bank and eager to continue working for her family. She is requesting the loan to buy coats for her business.

The other members of the group are engaged in carpentry, buying and selling clothing, running a grocery store, selling furniture, and selling phone cards.

Grety is grateful to have this access to credit and agrees to comply with the repayments.
