Hafiswa lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is a widow with one child who attends school. She is not looking after additional family members.
She has been selling cosmetics for the last four years in a shop she rents. She sells at retail, working seven days a week. She does not have another source of income.
She has requested for a loan of UGX 400,000 from MCDT to enable her purchase more cosmetics for sale like boxes of cream relaxers, weaves, and braids. Her major challenges include the high transport costs and ever increasing prices of cosmetics. She joined MCDT because she was assured that she would benefit from the services offered. Her dream is to see her business expand. She rents a house with access to both electricity and piped water. Her major monthly expenses include school fees.
