Reaksmey is 24 years old. She is married and blessed with one child. She and her family live in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has worked in a garment factory for more than three years, earning about $3 per day. Her husband is a sculptor who earns about $10 per day. In order to improve her family’s finances, Reaksmey is requesting a loan of $800 to purchase timbers to use in sculpting statues to sell. This money will help her husband generate more income to support the family. In the future, she would like to expand her husband’s business and help her child go to school and earn a bachelor’s degree.
