Carmen Rosa
Carmen lives in the beautiful city of Pisco, known for its lovely beaches and its tourist attractions such as the Islas Ballestas and the Paracas Candelabra. There is also fishing and farming there, especially cotton farming and corn, among others. Carmen lives with her husband and they have a 5 year old little noy. He is their reason for getting ahead and giving the best of themselves to show him that with hard work and honesty you can get ahead. She is a very loving mother and she likes to make desserts in her free time since she is a good cook. She also likes to take the chance to make one of her favorite dishes, such as the delicious "Arroz con Pato”. Because her parents had few financial resources, Carmen was only able to go to high school, but she would have liked to have studied nursing.

Three years ago Carmen was able to start her business selling shoes with some savings she has. With her business, she has been able to support her home with her husband and family. She believes that her business is going well for her because she is friendly to her customers, she has quality products, and above all she is well known and her customers always return.

Carmen is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, since thanks to their help she will be able to buy men's shoes especially since Fathers' Day is coming up. This way she will have a wider variety of styles to offer her customers and be able to improve her income. This way she can keep growing and working enthusiastically to be bale to make her biggest dream come true: "give her children a good education and grown even more in her business".
