Eddy is 30 years old and lives in the town of Luwero, in the Luwero region of Uganda. He is married and has 3 children, 2 of them currently in school. For the past 6 years, Eddy has been working hard to manage his small business, which sells soft drinks.

To help expand his business, Eddy has requested a loan of 2500,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more soft drinks for resale. This will help Eddy to generate greater profits and improve his standard of living. Eddy hopes that, in the future, he will be able to provide the products to his customers at a cheaper price.

Eddy is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Eddy who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
