Saada is a very enterprising woman who generates income for her family from her business. She operates a poultry business, selling to restaurant operators and café operators, delivering to each customer what they have ordered from her. She started working as a merchant a year ago.
As she wants to continually improve her businesses, her working capital is no longer sufficient, especially during times when her business turnover increases, such as the middle of the year. This is why she has sought out a Kiva loan through her first financing experience with Yehu Microfinance Trust. With it, she will buy poultry chicks and chicken feed so that she can rear them and resell them at a profit.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
