Srey Neang, age 29, has worked in a garment factory for over seven years, earning approximately $4 per day. She and her husband have two children and live in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia.
Her husband is a taxi driver who earns about $8 per day. Because the present car is old and in frequent need of repairs, Neang is requesting a loan in the amount of $1000 in order to purchase a new car so that her husband can continue to run the taxi service. This purchase will help her husband attract more customers and earn more income to support the family.
In the future, she would like to help her children earn bachelor’s degrees.
