Leap is 55 years-old. She is married and blessed with two children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been selling bananas for more than ten years, earning approximately $15 per day. Her husband is a rice farmer who earns about $2 per day. One of her children is employed and earns about $5 per day. In order to improve her family’s finances, Leap is requesting a loan of $1000 in order to raise capital for her business in order to purchase more bananas to resell. By doing so, she would be able to generate more profit to support her family. In the future, she would like to purchase a store in the market for selling bananas and to help her children earn bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it more convenient for her family.
