Ho is a 42-year-old married woman who has been residing with her family in Prey Chor district, Kompong Cham province. She is responsible for two children, and currently one of them is already married.
To earn a living, Ho and her husband are engaged in a rice farming business, from which the main source of the family’s income is made to satisfy their living needs. They can cultivate rice twice a year for sale between the two seasons.
Ho wishes to make a better quality of life for their children through her sacrifices and patience. She is now requesting a loan of 500 USD to purchase a motorcycle, which they can use to get anywhere as easily as they wish without paying for any transportation fees. This will be her first loan from HKL and Kiva. She is thankful for your help and is confident to pay her loan back as scheduled.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
