Iván is single, and he has a young son, who does not live him. His son lives with his mother, and he pays for his support monthly. Iván lives in his parents’ house, occupying only one room. The house is in the Kupini area of the city of La Paz.
Iván studied law, and he currently works as a legal advisor for over eight hours a day. With what he earns he helps pay the expenses for basic services and food at his house.
He does not have enough to pay for his education. That is why he is requesting the loan to pay for his law diploma. This will improve his income.
Iván’s dream is to improve his income and to be able to become independent. He needs to be more comfortable, and that will improve his quality of life.
This is the third time he has worked with IMPRO and the first time with Kiva.
Iván, es soltero y tiene un hijo pequeño con el cual no vive pero le pasa mensualidades para su manutención ya que el niño vive con su madre. Iván vive en la casa de sus padres ocupando solo una habitación, la casa esta ubicada en la zona Kupini de la ciudad de La Paz.
Iván, estudió derecho y actualmente trabaja como Asesor Jurídico, por más de ocho horas al día y con lo que gana ayuda a pagar los gastos de servicios básicos y alimentación en su casa y no le alcanza para pagar sus estudios es por eso que solicita el crédito para pagar el diplomado en la facultad de derecho y de esta forma mejorar sus ingresos.
El sueño de Iván, es mejorar sus ingresos y poder independizarse ya que necesita más comodidad y de esta forma mejorar su calidad de vida.
Es la tercera vez que trabaja junto a IMPRO y la primera vez con KIVA.
IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.
To ensure that everyone has access to credit, IMPRO maintains a low interest rate by minimizing operational costs. IMPRO’s partnership with Kiva, which began in 2007, has allowed IMPRO to expand its services while maintaining these low interest rates.
