Amistad Group
In this Group: Ana Silvia, Angelica Maria, Conception Magdalena, Conscepcion, Hortencia, Maria Guadalupe, Paloma Jazmin
Amistad is the name of the group, which says a lot about them. They are neighbours and friends from the municipality of Monterrey. The group is made up of seven persevering women.

Ana Silvia is one of them. She is a wife and the mother of two children. Hoping to increase her family's income and with that to improve her children’s quality of life, she found a way of doing so from her own home. It was then that she decided to learn about the cleaning products industry, to sell budget-line products to the people of her neighbourhood.

She is now asking for a loan to increase her inventory and stock of cleaning products to be able to offer a bigger variety of products. Ana Silvia is sure that she will continue growing and consolidating her business.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
