Tamar is 56 years old. She lives in a small village of Mtskheta District with her family: her husband Elguja, 19-year-old son and daughter-in-law. They are refugees from Akhalgori (there was a war in 2008). Her son serves in the Army and gets 78 Lari in a month. Tamar sews pillows and various household souvenirs and things, which are sold in nearby villages. In addition to her business she works in a clothing factory and gets a salary. Total average monthly income of the family is 450 Lari. She works hard, but the family still lives in poverty. Their income is not enough even for everyday expenses.
Tamar requested a loan for purchasing a sewing machine and textiles. She plans to purchase a good sewing machine and textiles. She will sew more pillows, blankets and mattresses. This will increase the sales from her business. With increased income she will be able to reinvest in her business to expand it and make it more profitable. Taking into account the above, the living conditions of the family will be improved.
