Kasandoo Group
In this Group: Dominga Guillermina , Nancy , Dionicia , Beda , Donanciano , Valeriano Marcelino
This group is called Kasandoo. It is composed of six hardworking and modest members, four women and two men, from a small village called Santiago Jamiltepec, Oaxaca, a place rich in flora and fauna.

One of the members is Sra. Nancy, who is 47 years old. Doña Nancy says that she has been selling flowers and floral arrangements at the market in her area for 13 years. Formerly, she used to sell her flowers in a small village called Ocotlán, Oaxaca because her parents are natives of that community. She notes that at the age of seven she stopped attending school so she could sell flowers, a task that nowadays fills her with satisfaction. One of the things she most likes about her business is waiting on customers, which she always does graciously and with a smile.

Some of the kinds of flowers Nancy sells are gladiolas, lilies, the eternal rose and other varieties. She notes that those she sells most are chrysanthemums and roses. She says the characteristics she needs to do her work are creativity and patience in making her floral arrangements, as well as intelligence in choosing the most appropriate flowers for each type of occasion. In addition, Nancy mentions that she considers herself a rather special person because she always likes to be one of the best at her work, thus the competition does not affect her much. In fact, one of the phrases that Doña Nancy likes to use to greet her customers is “Come in, come in, look at what we have for you, look at how we pamper you here.” She requested her loan to purchase more flowers and ribbons to continue selling arrangements.

The other members of the group are:

Dominga Gullermina – sells tacos
Dionicia – sells fish
Beda – sells bread
Donaciano – sells groceries
Valeriano Marcelino – sells chickens.

They thank the Vision Fund for helping all the hardworking people and for their efforts in helping them obtain loans.
