Maria
Maria was born in the town of Lares, which is two hours from the city of Cusco, in Cusco department. She is 55, and lives in the town of Calca. She is married, and has three children.

Calca is noted for having beautiful scenery, and for being a tourist, livestock-raising and farming area. She belongs to the “Clorinda Matto de Turner” communal bank of Asociación Arariwa.

Maria sells foodstuffs and has a rented stand in one of the markets in the town of Calca.

She works from 5:30am to 5:30pm every day of the week. She has been doing this work for 30 years now, and it is going very well, thanks to the effort she puts into her work.

On this occasion, she is accessing the loan in order to buy merchandise for supplying and stocking her stand. She will buy sacks of rice and sugar, as well as noodles and cans of milk

La señora Maria nació en la ciudad de Lares (Lares se encuentra a 2 horas de la ciudad del Cusco del departamento del Cusco.). Ella tiene 55 años edad, vive en la ciudad de Calca, está casada y fruto de esta unión tiene tres hijos. (La ciudad de Calca caracteriza por tener hermosos paisajes por ser una zona turística, ganadera y agrícola). Ella pertenece al banco comunal “Clorinda Matto de Turner” de la Asociación Arariwa.

La Señora Maria se dedica a la venta de comestibles. Ella tiene un puesto de venta alquilado en uno de los mercados de la ciudad Calca. Ella trabaja desde las 5h30 hasta las 17h30 todos los días de la semana. Ya son 30 años que se dedica a este negocio y le va muy bien gracias al empeño que realiza en su trabajo. Ella en esta oportunidad accede al crédito para comprar mercadería así poder surtir y abastecer el puesto de venta. Ella comprará sacos de arroz, sacos de azúcar, fideos y tarros de leche. María es una mujer luchadora y su sueño es hacer crecer su negocio.
