Zina is 33 years old. She is married and lives in a small village in the Samtredia District with her two sons (15 and 16 years old). They study in the local school.
Zina runs an agricultural business. She has a milking cow, produces cheese and sells it at the local open market. She also has a greenhouse, where greens are grown; she sells harvested greens to wholesalers. Zina owns 0.5 hectare of land, where maize is grown, which is used for family needs. In addition to her agricultural activities, she works in a beauty saloon and gets approximately 400 Lari for her work.
She works hard but still does not have enough income to put aside some savings to finance the studies of her children. The total average monthly income of the family is 800 Lari.
Zina requested a loan to change the glass in her greenhouse. This will enable her to sow more greens there over the entire year. The amount of harvested greens will increase and Zina will be able to earn more income. With the increased profit, she will finanace the education of her children.
