Hassana is a 46-year-old widow and the mother of one child. She is the only person responsible for caring for her child. Hassana is a hard working woman, well known in the region, and has a good reputation for working hard. Hassana has 21 years of experience in tailoring. In 2005 she officially started her own tailoring business.

Hassana used to clean houses to support herself and her child, but because she has a problem with her right leg, she decided to find a less tiring business. She opened a convenience store, and started tailoring. Both businesses are located in her house, and this is very helpful for her in many ways.

Hassana applied for a loan from Kiva partner Al Majmoua, in order to support her businesses with the necessary tools and products such as buttons, zippers and threads. She will also use a portion of the loan to purchase necessary products for her convenience store to get ready for customers' special requests for Holy Ramadan.
