Grace is a very enterprising woman who generates income for her family from her businesses. She operates a business from her home: buying and selling goats to butcher shop operators. She started working as a merchant five years ago. As she wants to continually improve her businesses, her working capital is no longer sufficient, especially during times when her businesses' turnover increases, such as the middle of the year. This is why she has sought out a Kiva loan through her second financing experience with Yehu Microfinance Trust. With it, she will buy goats for resale and purchase iron sheets to roof her family house which is under construction.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
