Rosa Elena is 30 years old, married and with four children, two of whom are still at school. She lives in a rural area in Northern Peru in a community of approximately 200 families. She lives in a house owned by herself and her husband with water and electricy.
Rosa works raising and selling animals, an activity she has been doing since she was a teenager. Indeed, she learnt this type of activity from her parents and is now able to practice it in her house.
She has previously received a loan from Edpyme Alternativa, which she used to buy a small motorcycle, which has allowed her to save on costs when transporting her merchandise. As a result of this success, she sees this new loan as an opportunity to contunue developing her business and area of expertise. She also tries to diversify her income by growing and selling some rice.
