Julia Patricia
Julia is 32 years old and her business is making clothes. She lives in Paraíso, an urban area in the south of Guayaquil, together with her son. Seven years ago, Julia bought her own home which is made from cement and has both water and electricity. She is currently separated and her 5-year-old son is attending a state school in their neighborhood. Julia learned how to sew when she was very young as she was really into fashion. She studied at school and then attended a number of courses and obtained a qualification. The workshop that she has at home, in her living room, has the sewing machines that she needs. Thanks to God, Julia has a lot of demand for her work. For this reason, she has some ladies who help her when she has a lot of work. As her business depends on production, she does not work regular hours. Her hours depend on when she finishes making her products. Julia will use her loan to buy an industrial sewing machine that she needs to make her clothing.
