The “ALAXPACHA” community bank are starting their second loan cycle as part of the Juan Pablo II regional office. The group has eight members and their president is Julia. The members all work in different activities including running a neighborhood store, wood turning, making footwear, selling vegetables, selling blankets, knitting woolen hats and selling animals.

Julia tells us that this is her second loan cycle as a member of a Pro Mujer community bank. She was invited to join by one of her goddaughters. Julia's business is selling vegetables. She has been in this business for a number of years.

Julia's current loan will be used to equip her sales location with furniture. She will buy these items in the street markets in the city of La Paz and then install them in her sales location. This work helps her to support her family. Julia lives with her common-law husband and the couple have two children.

When we asked her what she likes about Pro Mujer, Julia replied that she likes the savings and the insurance.

There is a lady in the back row of the photo who is dressed in dark blue. This lady is Bertha's daughter and she accompanied her mother to the loan disbursement meeting.

La Banca Comunal “ALAXPACHA” inicia su segundo ciclo en el Centro Focal de Juan Pablo II, está compuesta por ocho integrantes donde la señora Julia es la presidenta. Las actividades que desarrollan dentro del grupo son distintos, entre ellos tenemos: tienda de barrio, tornería, confección de calzados, venta de verduras, venta de frazadas, tejido de gorras de lana, venta de animales.
La señora Julia cuenta que es el segundo ciclo que integra una Banca Comunal dentro de Pro Mujer y que para esto fue invitada por una de su aijada; en la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de verduras, mismo que trabaja hace varios años.
El crédito que ahora sacará es para equipar su espacio de venta (compra de muebles) los que comprarán de las ferias de la ciudad de La Paz y posteriormente lo instalará en su espacio de comercialización. Esta forma de trabajo apoya a salir adelante a su familia pues ella vive en unión libre y tiene dos hijo.
Cuando le consultamos que le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella nos respondió que le gusta el ahorro y el seguro.
En la fotografía se puede observar una señora en el fondo vestida de azul oscuro, es la hija de la señora Bertha quien acompañó a su madre al desembolso.
