Yi L. is 42 years old and lives in Siem Reap. She makes her living selling fish in the local market. Her business does relatively well, bringing in US $8 per day. Her husband works as a motor taxi driver based in front of a local hospital. Two of their children are married and live outside the family home. The remaining four are all enrolled in school. She wants to expand her market-stand’s inventory by buying more expensive kinds of fish. She hopes this will make her business more competitive.
