Scholastica is 36 years old and has five children, all of whom still attend school. She operates a retail shop, selling at the market to her neighbours and passersby. She has been in this business for three years. She provides her customers with excellent service and also helps her family.
Scholastica's goals are to continue working and to become a successful micro-entrepreneur. The loan she is requesting will be used to buy bundles of wheat flour, maize flour, rice, and sugar. Scholastica is grateful for the assistance, which will allow her to grow in her enterprise and quickly accomplish the goals she has set for herself as an entrepreneur.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
