Mujeres Capacitadas 2 & 3 Group
In this Group: Justa, Aurelia, Maria, Daninsa, Juana, Ana, Adargisa, Isidro, Yuderka, Angela
Justa is the coordinator of her group Mujeres Capacitadas (Capable Women) 2 & 3. Her group is located in Puerto Plata, a northern port town whose economy is dependent on tourism. She makes her home there in a simple structure as a single mother with four children.

Justa is excited to be taking out her ninth loan with Esperanza after having fully repaid her previous loan and grown her business. She plans to use this loan to invest in her business selling chicharrones (fried pork fat) and clothing by purchasing pork, different clothes and underwear to sell. She says, thanks to her loans, she has been able to established her business and expanded it. With every loan, she has increased her sales and inventory. She will use her profits to continue improving her house. With her past benefits and savings, it has been possible to rebuild her house, little by little, while she continues to sell and develop her business.

Justa thanks all of you for your support.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
