This is the first time that this group has requested financial help through ALIDé in order to build up their businesses. Dédevi Clémence is 39 and married to a man named Paul. The couple has five children in their care, all of whom attend school. Dédevi Clémence lives with her husband and children. Together, the couple meets their various household needs. In order to fulfill her responsibilities, Dédevi Clémence has been selling cosmetic products in a Bénin neighborhood for seven years. She gets her supplies in a market in Bénin. In the hopes of further strengthening her business and to better meet the demand of her customers, she wants to increase her stock of merchandise. To do this, Dédevi Clémence is requesting, along with the other members of the NONVIGNON 1 group, an initial loan through ALIDé.

Le groupe NONVIGNON 1 est formé de trois personnes qui résident dans le même quartier. La représentante de ce groupe, nommée Dédevi Clémence, est celle dont la main est levée sur la photo. C’est la première fois que ce groupe sollicite l’appui financier de ALIDé en vue d’élever le niveau de leur activité. Dédevi Clémence est âgée de 39 ans et est mariée à un certain Paul. Le couple a cinq enfants, tous scolarisés et à leur charge. Dédevi Clémence vit ensemble avec ses enfants et son mari. Le couple subvient ensemble aux divers besoins du ménage. Pour faire face à ses différentes charges, Dédevi Clémence vend des produits cosmétiques dans un quartier du Bénin depuis près de sept ans. Dédevi Clémence s’approvisionne dans un marché du Benin. Dans le souci de renforcer davantage son activité et de mieux répondre aux exigences de sa clientèle, Dédevi Clémence désire augmenter le stock de ses produits. Pour ce faire, Dédevi Clémence sollicite ensemble avec les autres membres du groupe NONVIGNON 1, un premier crédit auprès de ALIDé.

About Alidé

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients. This is a Group Loan
