Mrs. Hien is 32 years old and she has three children. She is employed as a carpenter, earning a monthly income of about 4,000,000 VND. Mrs. Hien has taken part in SEDA's credit program since 2010. In her last cycle, she borrowed 7,392,000 VND and repaid the loan on time. Mrs. Hien now wants to borrow 8,288,000 VND to open her own carpentry studio at home.
The Center of Small Enterprise Development Assistance (SEDA) is a non-profit organization whose vision is to create “a society without poverty.” Founded in 2004, SEDA provides microfinance services to low-income and disadvantaged people in rural areas of Hanoi and the northern provinces of Vietnam through its Binh Minh Micro-Finance Program.
